Donate Supplies
Wake Forest Baptist, along with other health care systems across the country, is looking at every possible way to conserve personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout this COVID-19 crisis. We will accept donated supplies to be allocated to the areas of greatest needs as it relates to the COVID-19 response.
For questions regarding donations from businesses or community members wanting to help, please email us at [email protected]. Donations can be dropped off at one of our donation sites or shipped.
WFBH will consider any of the following items for donations:
Most Urgent Needs
- N95 masks
- Surgical masks
- Surgical masks with shield
- Nasal swabs for medical use
Other Needs
- Disinfectant
- Eye protection, including safety goggles/glasses
- Face shield
- Gloves, disposable
- Gowns, disposable
- Hand sanitizer, greater than 60% alcohol
- Hand soap
- Shoe covers, disposable
- Handmade masks*
*For homemade masks - please use clean, cotton fabric that is tightly woven on both sides, and sew on a clean work surface. Please place face masks in Ziploc-style plastic bags for donation. Here are three potential patterns as reference only:
Wake Forest Baptist Health does not endorse any one pattern and is grateful for any donations of homemade face masks that can be provided. Fabric masks present a crisis response option for reducing the spread of viruses such as COVID-19 by catching infectious droplets emitted by the wearer, thereby reducing the risk of exposure to others.
At this time, we plan to provide fabric masks to patients at check-in entry points upon arrival at our facilities. We do not currently plan to distribute fabric masks to our health care workers.
